APEX owner and LiveCycle developer here, have created a number of PDF templates using LiveCycle Designer. These templates include form fields, digitial signature fields, and custom buttons for 3D content. 3D is embedded into these documents via LiveCycle ES (or 3D Reviewer, manually).
Im trying to send these forms using Acrobat Pro Extended features labeled:
''Send for shared review...''
and
''Send %26amp; Collaborate Live...''
When attempting to use these features I always receive an error dialog that says:
''The document you have chosen cannot be sent for shared review or collaboration because its current security permissions do not allow modifications. Please choose another document or change this document to allow modifications.''
No matter what I try I cant figure out how to enable modifications on these documents. I've tried resetting security (Security method = ''No Security''), enabling Reader Extensions, Save a Copy....etc.
Any suggestions? I've included a sample PDF in case anyone wants to show me how to enable these permissions.
thx

Shared Review, Send %26 Collaborate Live:...Bump....Any experiences like this?
Shared Review, Send %26 Collaborate Live:...We have the same problem.?Our company recently upgraded everyone to Acrobat 9.?As before, some of us have PRO, some STD, some Reader--but all are version 9.
Previously we used Shared Reviews formed in Acrobat 8 PRO and reviewed by folks with a variety of Acrobat versions of STD and Reader.?After a long learning curve, everyone was used to it.?Now, we cannot create reviews for those with Reader only and the rest seems buggy.?The steps are these (obviously done by someone with PRO):
1.?Open the PDF.?Note the PDF has NO security on it at all.
2.?Enable PDF for Commenting by those who have Reader only.
3.?Save the PDF
4.?Select SEND FOR SHARED REVIEW.?At this point, an error indicates that this PDF cannot be sent for shared review because its settings do not allow changes. So now we have to stop because the Reader users will not be able to comment at all.
Is there something different, another step that we are not doing??We?have upgraded to PRO 9.1.3.
We did note, after repeating steps and looking, that the act of enabling the PDF for commenting by Reader (surprisingly!) actually ADDED security settings. And there doesn't seem to be a way to get rid of them at that point.?Perhaps these added settings are causing the problem?
