Hi,
i'm working with a pdf on our website, this document, saved with an extra plugin for word 2007 in Windows Vista. (save and export to pdf)
I'm using this addon because in word 2007 and vista, i get an error message when i try to export to pdf with acrobat professional 7.0 (missing pdf maker files) we tried to fix this but no luck, so we use the plugin SaveAsPDFandXPS.
this plugin allows me to save my pdf's and use the hyperlinks that word created (TOC, hyperlinks...), however if i use acrobat reader 9 (on a diff pc) the hyperlinks are not working... can anyone help me please..
see the file here http://http://easyweb.easypay-group.com/uploads/publication/207_EP-NEWS-Juli_200 9.pdf
thx in advance.
So... if anyone has a solution to either problem, please feel free to contribute.?This pdf-thing is really getting on my nerves
grtz

Hyperlinks working in AA7, but not...Your link has an extra http:// in it. When I went to it, there is a sign in page that I generally will not use. Sorry, I have not seen the file as a result.
As I understand your post, you are using the MS plugin for PDF conversion since you only have AA7 and need the links that are not available by printing to the Adobe PDF printer (assuming you got that to work in VISTA). You are then trying to open the file in Adobe (not Acrobat) Reader 9 and the hyperlinks fail. However, the hyperlinks work in AA7. Hopefully that is a correct statement of your problem.
Are you sure you have the hyperlinks embedded, or just an appearance of hyperlinks. Acrobat and Reader will try to recognize apparent links and use them if they do. If you have the links embedded, then there should be no problem. I suspect that the links are not embedded.
Hyperlinks working in AA7, but not...In Adobe Reader 9 switch off the PDF/A mode. You can change this in the preferences of Adobe Reader.
thx for responding Bernd.
I thought about switching off PDF/A mode, but since the pdf created is intented for distribution, that's not really a viable solution.
Hi Bill,
thank you for replying. I forgot about that sign in page, sry.
I think your summary of my problem is correct.
I don't really know what the difference is between an embedded link or an appearance of a link.?I do know that they are working hyperlinks in word. hyperlinks used are those of the TOC, so i guess those should be properly embedded?
thx Bill!! for your time sofar

MS Office 2007 is not supported with Acrobat 7.0, which is why you are getting the ''Missing PDFMaker files...'' error. You need to have Acrobat 8.0 or higher to be able to use PDFMaker with Office 2007.
You mentioned that the hyperlinks are not working in Reader 9 ''on a diff pc''. Do they work on the pc where you created the PDF files? If this is the case, can you check Reader preferences settings in General tab. Go to Reader-%26gt;Edit-%26gt;Preferences-%26gt;General tab. Is the option 'create links from URLs' checked ON on the pc where you find links non-functional?
Create a normal PDF document with hyperlinks. PDF/A doesn't allow hyperlinks.
