Forms - Menu Item

Good Day,

I actually have two questions.?I am new to designing forms with Acrobat and am not sure how to complete the following actions.

I would like to have an ''action button'' that when clicked would submit the form; and then send the individual to a web-page which thanks them for participating in the review.

I would also like to know if there is a way for an individual to ''add an attachment'' to the pdf as part of the submission process.?Such as; an individual completes an application, and needs to ''submit'' their resume along with the application.?How do I set up my pdf to allow him or her to ''attach'' the resume to the pdf (versus cut and paste in a designed space).

Thank you.

Forms - Menu Item

First you have to decide if you are creating the form in Acrobat (TOOLS%26gt;Forms) or Designer (FORMS). If you are going to use Designer, then the questions are approriate for the LiveCycle forum. You may want to look a bit at each method to determine which might meet your need better. Be aware that once you go to Designer, you can not come back to Acrobat for editing.

Typically a submit button is created with the button tool. Under the actions you would create the submit process. In Designer you would submit the data to a web site as an XML file (I think this is the only format). In Acrobat you can use FDF, XFDF, XML, and HTML data formats.

I am not aware of the ability to submit a file, but that does not mean that you can't - only that I have not played with such a feature. You would be looking for a tool that does that job. If Designer has such a tool, that may make your decision about how you create a form (I do not remember a file upload tool in Acrobat forms - but you should check the tools menu).
