Custom CheckBox class

Hello,

I have created a custom ProductCheckBox class which extends the CheckBox component class. When I right click on a CheckBox in the Library and click Properties, all the fields are disabled not allowing me to define the object's class. Is there a way I can change the class of a CheckBox?
